No toothpicks here… As large slabs have a tendency to crack or check.. this top is ONLY joined together with the butterflies.. it is attatched at the apron or skirt with screws and plugs, and glue. It was really fun to make and I have enjoyed rummaging my ODDs and ENDs limb pile for the right pieces for the post legs… the legs are bolted on and can be removed for shipping—not unlike Lowes SKROOZON legs. And yet, they are unlike them.

Ted,
This is another nice piece. I really appreciate the rustic look of your posts and this one is certainly no exception. That is some gorgeous wood you chose for the top.
Well done.

The Table is 45X47 & stands 31” tall. That IS a bit higher than a normal table…... But I am anything but normal.

Great table, I like making this style also. I use Black Oak, the white oak we have around here has a different look than what you have here.
