Two of a series of wooden lamps

These are shots from a series of lamps I built in 2009 and 2010. We developed a composite reinforcement veneer with just the right optical properties. The panels are formed flat and heated to bend them. This was without question my favorite woodworking adventure. Everything is made from live edge scraps and other wood that would otherwise have gone to waste.

Welcome to Lumberjocks!
Now let me say all of your lamps are a work of art. I’m sure they looked even better in person!
Beautiful work!

Very nice, I love light! I havne’t yet made a lamp, but i am very interested in doing one. I hope I can do as great a job highlighting the wood as you have done here

These are gorgeous!

They belong in places like the resorts in Glacier National Park or similar.
