This is a small desk I made for my daughter Gracie. She just turned six and momma and me agreed that she needed a devoted space for her art and homework.
With a little web searching we found a this basic design on a site called “The Design Confidential” who has a ton of different plans available.
Pocket hole joinery, simple but sturdy. It’s built out of aspen with fir legs. My brothers father in law is a carpenter and is constantly bring him remnants from jobs he has completed. My brother in turn gives them to me. The aspen i used is some of the couple hundred board feet he gave me this past summer. Ive built several tables and a couple odds and ends out it saving me a ton of money. I spent $15.00 on this desk including paint and hardware.
She loves it and now wants a chair to complete the set.
Thanks for looking.
