My wife got this little jug but wanted a lid for it so I made her one. The wood is a piece of plain old 2×6. I was fortunate to have one cut squarely on center of a narrow tree’s core so that the grain was evenly centered. I made the handle separately and screwed it down. The band of cork is to make for a snug grip ft. The finish is spray on polyurethane spar varnish. I confess the finish was a rough and dirty job… it shows.
As I noted above- just a simple turning. But, I think it came out good and looks good and works well on the jug.

Great job on the pretty lid. Has a great fit and matches well with the jug.
