During my work experience week in a timber yard/woodworking shop, a delivery came with bags full of these nuts (when I opened the first bag I thought they looked rather like hedgehogs for a moment). I had to move the nuts from the bags to a cardboard container so they could go into the shop. What I underestimated was how much mess they would produce!
After my week had finished, I decided to purchase one of the nuts and have ago at turning it.
