Last year my wife wanted to buy a new table and chairs for our children, she went to the store and was going to buy one of those fold up table and chair sets for them. We’ve had one before and they tore it up in a few months. So i talked her into letting me build one. This was my first real woodworking project. The entire table and chairs are made from sugar pine. I used walnut dowels to pin all the joints together the only screws are pocket screws, i used them for the seat slats and the table top. its finished with an aspen pine stain and a ton of poly. it was also my attempt at french polishing.

Great looking set! Like the design, wood, finish and the joinery. Way better than the store bought ones.
