I decided to make this because my shop was unbelievably cluttered. d a convenient place to store my tools that didn’t take up floor space in my small shop. I found that looking for tools was frustrating my daughter and I. I got out my trusty ShopNotes magazine and went and git the supplies I needed and started cutting. This is what resulted. I am happy that that it gives me what I needed. If you look in the background of this picture, you will see it hanging on the wall behind my daughter.

If you want to see my blog about the pie safe, go here.

Since I couldn’t get the pictures to upload correctly, I will post them here:

I apologize for the sideways pictures. My phone won’t let me post them the right way. I will try it on my computer.

Thank you. It will hold a lot of tools. I just have to figure out where I want all of them to go. This is pretty easy to build of you have the tools to do it. It was much easier than I thought. I have built several smaller things to get my skills and thought process going. You should go ahead and make one.

It was in the Complete Small Shop issue. I think it is a special issue. You get one from subscribing now.

Nice use of limited space. If you have the same problem as most the clutter will be cleaned up for a week and then you will see another idea etc etc. Never ending but then that means you have more time in the shop. Nice work.

Great idea and very useful project. I can see that your tools are organized already and it’s a space saver too. Like the cool pie safe.
