Not quite a easy as it looks, but was fun. I want to make more. I just got my band saw today & have never used one, so I am still learning on what I can & cant do. I also included a picture of my new/used band saw. Spent $100.00 on it used. I changed the blade & been having trouble with it being too lose.

Very nice for a first bs box. These are a lot of fun to make, I do them now by the half dozen at a time, saves time not having to change the machine set up. My Craftsman blade tension gauge is just a bit off. I always have to do an extra 1/4 turn. You may want to start with an 1/8 turn. Also it seems that if you use the 3/16” blade, it definitely needs a bit more tension. Also you may want to check and clean the “tires”. I had to clean them after maybe every half dozen bs boxes.

My new bandsaw is sitting in the box… a 14 inch Craftsman. I have the stand assembled and a wheeled card for it to sit on for portability. Just waiting for some help to arrive to help lift it onto the stand.

I thought I would start with some bandsaw boxes… just for a little practice.

Thanks every one for your support, yes they are addictive & going to make another one tomorrow! I have a small problem & I hope some one can shed light on it. I was really excited to get my band saw, but it wont cut any thing thicker the 2 7/8”. It’s a 10” band saw & I thought it would have at least a 4” throat. It make’s my box size really small in thickness & with. Any suggestions other the buying a bigger band saw? It took a lot to get this one. Thanks & happy building.
