What do you give you child on his birthday besides love, food, a family, a home? Wood toys of course! My wife asked me to make a set of toy cars for our second son who is due any day now. The tractors, race car, and bug are new designs. I feel they turned pretty good but there are few things that I will change for the next batch. The plane, helicopter, and bulldozer have been vetted with my brother-in-laws twins.
Keeping with my theme there is only wood and glue but I had to add some color so we used acrylic paint which is certified nontoxic. Plus I got to use my new Stanley sweetheart no 4
The real challenge is keeping the three year old from “breaking them in”

Good job
-- Mother Nature created it, I just assemble it. - It's not ability that we often lack, but the patience to use our ability

Breaking them is difficult. I have made a lot like that and they are as tough as nails.
