This is also my first posting so we will see how it goes. The chest is from a plan in WOOD Magazine. A friend with a nice shop gave me guidance. Since then I have built a shop in my backyard and I’m in the process of setting it up. Long list of things to make from ideas here on L.J.

Let me be the first to congratulate you on your first project. Its great! I like the curved element on the front. My first project was a hand cut dovetail chest, which I gave to my daughter. I followed plans from an issue of Woodsmith magazine.
Welcome to LJ’s!

Thanks for the positive feedback.
Been a voyeur here for over 2 years now.
Seems like a great group of craftsmen

Forgot to mention the oak was from a building lot. From standing tree to this.

Wow! I’d be pretty pleased with myself if that was my first project! Check you out!

That’s a nice design. And beautifully executed! Lucky lady!

An elegant looking box, like the design with smooth lines and joinery. Wife will be happy and proud.

Dovetails and breadboards on your first project? You like to jump in with both feet! Nicely done!!
