The spouse and I took a bowl turning course at Lee Valley. The instructor was the best teacher and most patient man I have ever met. He made something that seemed very daunting before we tried it seem like child’s play. We have a Delta midi lathe and I know that there will be many more of these in our future. We need to buy a scroll chuck first. Mine is the bowl on the right. I am really thrilled the way they turned out. The wood is soft maple with a mineral oil and bees wax finish.
