Lady asked me to make a letter opener with a “case” “sheath”? Anyways, I used some curly apple heartwood that my friend and I cut down locally. the case was the hard part. I cut it in half lenthwise and made a channell in which I made a reccess (wish I had taken a picture) for some plastic to provide the friction to hold it closed. I bought the blade from Woodcraft.
