This was turned from a piece of kiln dried spalted beech and it was finished off by high speed friction polish and wax

While I can’t comment on technique, I certainly can say that this is a nice looking bowl!

Nice. First time I’ve heard of spalted wood that was kiln dried (as opposed to just being air dried).
