This was a clock i made for my friends kid. It’s made of maple and I added a light inside it. The light shines through a thin piece of shell. It looks like mother of pearl. It has just an absolute glow to it. The clock piece i purchased at woodcraft.

Super nice clock, looks like you did an outstanding job. This is one I would be proud to own. Think I will add this to my favorite. May just try my hand at making one like this some time.

Very clean looking clock and quite unusual.

Chad I like it a lot. A certain person in my house said “it looks like a woman with a bikini on.” She liked it but that was her take on it. I was also told not to tell she said that.
My take is, it is missing the mantle.
Nice work and good color.

Thanks everyone. I’m considering doing a video on it. The light in side is a candescent nite light. It gives a nice warm glow, but i’m thinking of doing a LED nite light for the next one.
Dave- I’m glad you picked up on the “lady” image. Yes, i wanted it to be shapely like a woman. I gave it to my friends kid who graduated high school. She is a nice and smart girl. I wanted it to have a soft feel to it, elegant and classy.
