First Bandsaw Box

This is my first bandsaw box. It is spalted maple, cherry, and walnut finished with satin poly rub. The bottom is merlot velvet. The handle is cedar. Boy – are these guys fun. I have made more and have about a dozen in various states of completion. I’ll share more pictures.

What I like most about building bandsaw boxes is the ability to use whatever plan you want. I ordered some plans but am finding “free-hand” design is more fun. Kind of puts your signature on the box.

You chose some very choice wood for your first and it turned out nice. They are addictive, aren’t they?

Looks like a fun project! That’s one of the finest band saw box I’ve ever seen!
