First project that I have posted here on LJ, so here it goes!
I had a litte wrought iron bar rack, and wanted something better. I used my Kreg pockethole maker (coolest jig ever) the most on this project. First time working with crown molding (Thank God for caulk and wood putty :) ). Project grew a little from my original specs to include lighting… used the under-counter puck lights since I didn’t have enough space for can lights… most of this is built out of 1×2 stock to make it lightweight, and a 2×3 backbone..
Need to do some touch up paint on the rails that hold the pilsner glasses… The glasses were not sliding in and out smoothly after I painted (don’t know if if was because of humidity or the paint that caused the problem, but it is fixed now :) ).
Add the above picture of the inside before it was done (I added more reinforcment to it). Also this looks better in person due to the glare from the flash and the semi gloss paint.
Let me know what you think! Thanks :)

Great work! Hey are the bottles stored on top of the rack too?

Thanks! Yeah the top is used for storage… it mirrors and floats above my “L” shaped bar… There is a light that is on top, to light up the bottles( the yellowish looking bottle is actaully a clear bottle of cruzan rum next a lit yellow bottle of cuervo).... I have more pics, but could only post 3… :)
Thanks again!

Wow, any chance you thought of a matching mantel for that fireplace in the back? It would really compliment all your fine work. Nice job on the wine rack.

Yeah, I am still trying to decide exactly how I am going to do it (like if I should get rid of the tile or not). I know that I will paint it a white, because the wood colored cabinets in the kitchen (you can see part of one in the first picture, and above the fridge in the last) I am going to paint black to match the bar rack. I am going to use the same crown though… Any ideas or thoughts?
