I had been wanting to try my hand at a turned box with a friction fit lid. I had a nice piece of cherry to try it on. My goal was to have toothpick fit inside, and even took one out to the shop to use as a guide. Managed to make it about 1/8 to short to get the lid on with toothpicks inside! Doh! So now its a little jewelry box, lol. The lid was fitting nice without being too tight, but when I added finish, sparingly, it got pretty stiff to remove. With use it is loosening up again.
Thanks for looking.
