Pecan bowls

These bowls were turned from a branch from a pecan tree that came down in a cousins yard. It’s been drying in my shop for about 18 months. I was very pleased with how well it turned, and sands easier than wet wood. Finished with Arm-R-Seal, 3 coats. These probably needed to be turned thinner. I had a lttle crack in the first one on the bottom, but it seems to be stable now.

Thanks for looking, appreciate your comments and advice.

Nice looking bowls. I have been wanting to turn some pecan. I have a couple of friends with pecan trees and I think I will see if they have any broken limbs.
