This is the first piece of furniture I built after some 25 years away from woodworking. The wood is from a huge white oak on our property. There was so much of it I could afford to have some quarter sawn. Learned some tricks for putting good clean edges on the top pieces without a jointer. The joinery I learned was used on the coffee table I build more recently – before the cold came and banished me from the shop.

Thanks, Jim. This looks like a great place to hang out with other woodworkers! Yeah, I love QSWO, too. Still have a bunch left to play with. Just gotta figure out what’s next.

Nice table.Side tables are an absolute necessity when it comes to decorating your home, not only for design but also for functionality and character. They are great to place in a home or apartment with limited space.
