hi fellow LJ i made this bird house a few days before Christmas because the old one i had made blow off the poll i had it on the wind was gusting 60 to 70 miles per hour and the bird mouse was around 10 years old and it was made out of pine. i was lucky had no other damage done this new one is also made out of pine i had a lot of 2 by 2 left over from a ruffing job i just finished from a friend and he told me i could have it ..i put the 2 by 2 in the lath and turner it round and cut it in half on the table saw made a ruff gig to hold it from turning when i was cutting it it is 36 inches long by 14 wide it stands around 24 inches finished with 5 coats of danish oil .o and by the birds love it this cold whether the never leave it all day all comments welcome

thanks for having a look and your nice comments
drick not sure if any birds will nest in it the are lodes of hedges and trees for them to use non nested in the last birds house that was there it is just used to feed them in the winter and cold weather
