Ross can certainly come up with some designs which are both a challenge and a pleasure to make. This one has been a little long in the making, my fault. It is a Shell, EZ-Mitre box approx’ 115 mm square by 55 mm high on a 5mm pedestal base. Materials are Yew, Purpleheart, Pau Amerello, Padauk, Sycamore and Wenge. Glues PVA and CA, finish Spray Satin Acrylic.

More to follow. I’m alternating between my own projects and Mole Party’s at the present time.

That box is quite striking. It’s definitely an eye catcher. Congratulations.

Just caught the second of these boxes and wanted to see all of them. This is my favorite of them. It is done with such precision that the eye is just pulled into it like some grand optical illusion.
Fantastic work, on the part of the designer and builder. You both are true artists.

On a side note.
Uner your Britboxmaker profile, you have me blocked. I don’t know why. If I done something to offend you, I am deeply sorry. I would love to be able to participate in the discussion of your great work though. If I am blocked by mistake, well, we all make mistakes. Either way, could you see your way to sending me a private message letting me know about that matter, and possibly unblocking me if you see fit to do so?

Thank you, from us both, all for the positive comments.

And, Ross, you’re welcome. Your ‘scrawls’ as you call them are, in fact, works of art. Its a pleasure realising your ideas in wood (BBM).

One hell of a team effort. Beautiful box gentlemen. That pattern with the chosen wood is playing some tricks with my eyes…and I love it.
