Oh man, I love working with my little girl. She is so fascinated by the craft. Well done bringing your daughter into the shop. Since you posted this thread as a completed project, I can only assume she’s made from Angel wood. :)

All of my kids grew up working in my shop with me. Great memories. I remember how we celebrated the first time Gina nicked herself with a chisel. She was also the bandsaw queen!

Mine currently just wanders in, finds a stick of wood she likes and wanders out swinging it every which way. Although I look forward to when she can join me in the shop like yours does I’m not in a hurry for her to get there. Glad to see you’re passing on the fun.

I don’t think this qualifies as a “finished project”, more of a work in progress!!! Great start though!!!

Enjoy the time while you can. It’ll go by WAAAY TOO FAST!
Seeing posts like this makes me wish I could turn back time (big sigh). When I think of all the times I missed to be able to do things like this with my girls.

Here’s my little assistant :)

She likes to sand, so I give her scrap wood to sand while I work on things.
(The saw dust in her hair is because she tried to play in the shaving pile below my lathe, needless to say I had to stop her and bathe her that night lol)
Also, no judging me for having a dirty floor lol, I need to vacuum it lol.

She is a terrific little helper.
I see she had long beautiful hair. I must say this but I think you already know to keep her beautiful hair away from anything that it can get caught up in. I had to say that or it would bother me if I kept my mouth shut.
My little helper is now in her late 30’s. My how time flies! I’d give anyting to do it all over again!
