Top is made from old butcher block countertop that was refinished. The base is from an old well. It is the part that the rope would be winded onto. On the well it would have been horizontal and the metal circle had a handle on it that would be used to turn it with.

The floor is also from reclaimed 1xs

So does the table spin around then? Would make passing the salt so much more fun. lol

It used to spin :) but I fixed it so it wouldn’t as my kids had a little too much fun with it.

Nice looking table, and good utilization of the bucket winch. How did you protect that great looking floor
from being marred by the iron ring on the bottom? Some how I seem to think that kids who could not
resist turning the table might cause it to move about just a little. Thank you for sharing.
