Nice recovery…giving the barn a second life!...and the frames go well with the pictures too.

These are nice frames. It is good to see the lumber get a new lease on life and be transformed from scrap into a useful project like this.
Did you do the matting on the first picture as well?
These look good. Thanks for the post.

thanks …but I cant take credit for the matting, or any of the pictures for that matter. My wife picked out the 3 paintings before I made the frames. Wish I could draw like that…..

Beautiful!
That weathered grain just can’t be duplicated. Is that the original barn finish?

Yeah, it sure is. I believe it is heart pine naturally weathered. I run the boards through my planer (just on the back side ) to get them dimensioned first. I have made quite a few frames for family members. I can knock one out in about two nights….. pretty simple but thats what gives them character…Thanks for the comments…..They make a person really want to keep this hobby up.
I like the crib in your gallery by the way….Very Nice!

Those remind me of my first frames, when I started wood working to frame my art. All economy. Free can still be beautiful. I’d also torch some. I like the red accent, looks good.
