Project Information

Here is a pic I scrolled this evening. This is our eldest son's prom night. The scrolled image doesn't have the flower but I will be putting that in once it's mounted to it's permanent back ground.

Roughly 2.5 hrs of scrolling. Once again, #2 spiral blade.

(PS. I have the video created for making the patterns. I just need to get it edited. I was going to do the pattern making and scrolling the image in one video, but perhaps I will break it up into two videos.

You did all of that with a spiral blade? Impressive… I do portraits as well, but it takes a far steadier hand than I have to cut with a spiral blade.

Dan,

The spiral blade, once you get used to it, you'll use nothing else for portraits. Well, that's how it is for me. I only started the portraits not long ago. Perhaps a month back. Really haven't scrolled before then. Straight lines are a killer with a spiral blade. If you take a close look at the straight line on the border going along the bottom, you will notice it's a little wonky. A little sanding will take care of that.
