Closet Organizer

Before I remodeled my master bedroom my wife kept complaining about not having enough dresser space, so rather than going and buying another dresser I went to Ikea and bought a rack to hang pants and the lighter colored organizer drawer as well ($25 total for the hanger and drawer), the rest is just cheap home depot 2×2’s and plywood. I wish I could’ve stained the top drawer to match, but for $9 I wasnt going to sand it down and re finish it, plus it stays in a closet so its not like you are staring at it all the time.

I’ll have to find the pictures at home and post the built-ins that I made when I finally did remodel out master bedroom, they turned out pretty nice, and I made a big shoe closet for wifey too, she was pretty stoked about that.

Very nice. You might be better off for not staining it. I will be easier to identify smaller items in the closet space with a lighter background. Contrast is nice too,

Thanks Jim & cnarf. I probably wouldn’t have stained it but it was pretty crappy plywood and full of knots, the dark stain was the only way to make it look decent.

I’ll keep that in mind though about the contrast, because the built-ins I made in my master bedroom remodel are dark brown, i haven’t had any problems seeing things yet but thats good advice to consider for future projects.
