This is very nicely done. At first I wondered why a fireplace would have a jointer and vacuum inside it, lol.

Your mantle looks great. It will look even nicer over the fireplace. Great build.

I’ve got a friend that is wanting to build a fireplace mantle for his new house, but can’t figure out how to mount it against the brick that is currently there? What is the common practice for attaching to the wall? I’m trying to do as little damage to it as possible since it will be painted before the install.

If you don’t leave it in the workshop you know someone will do it. Nice job.

Great build and design on the mantle, like to see it over the fireplace.
