What can you do with a 1"x 12" piece of pine? pt.2 Entertainment center

I must admit upfront, this is a older project, i can not lie… to be explained later. anyways, as the second part which was actually the first part just twice removed and devided by two and blah blah blah…. sorry. got lost.
ANYWAYS, the is actually the first 1×12 project but the second in my series. years back, i wanted to make a entertainment center with 1×12s joined together to make an entertainment center to hold my (gasp) HUGE 27” state of the art color tv. ok, now im dating myself lol. so i needed a space big enuf for the tv, vcr, lol yes vcr, and various other electronic do-dads i had at the time and to entertain myself along with my massive video cassette library.
(all which would fit on probably 2 dvds in todays world lol.) so off i went with the tape measure and pencil and paper jotting down what i needed… one problem. the tv is 17 3/4 inches deep. ok, i tell myself i can join two 1×12s together! here is where the nightmare started…

three months later, and many evenings of cussing at all the warped boards joined together ( because yes, we went to homebase or home depot and bought the cheap stuff) we made what you see here. a little creative work with a dremel and taaaa daaaa!!!

it sits today in our guest bedroom collecting dust. but i still glance at it and smile to myself because I MADE IT!.
