The wife had been after me to buy a couple of new pillow beds for the dogs. It kept slipping my mind until I decided I was going to one up her on her request by building frames for them. I found the pillow beds on sale for $10 each. I then built a couple of beds using mostly left over materials from other projects. The pic quality is poor but I have included one with the pillow bed and one without. Inside dimensions on these are 30”Wx20”D

Rusty is gonna need a great big dog bed! I got mine at Costco for $25 , 2 boxers fit on it so your big pup should fit.

Looks like your dog certainly isnt complaining! We bought dogbeds once (long ago) and both girls just sniffed them and turned their backs! They never went NEAR them again, no matter how many “treats” I hid in them.

Nice looking doggy bed!

I’m not showing this to my wife. Don’t need anymore things on my list right now. Besides, Pearl loves her blanket. Nice job.

On the head/foot boards, are they just dadoes cut in for decoration or is a panel type construction?

thanks

Thanks everyone, Rusty that pic is funny. Looks a lot like my bed used to before I made these dog beds My dogs got to old and fat to jump up and down off the bed. I tried to help them transition by making their bed look similar to ours. Well, minus the waterbed. Ol104 I used pieces of 1x material tacked to a piece of plywood. I was using up a bunch of cutoffs. The only wood purchased was a 1×4 to cap the head and foot boards.
