Beautiful. This surely is a golden age for cutting boards.

The name of that board should definitely be “Digital” Modern and I love the detail. Not your run of the mill end grain cutting board, as I can see it was a lot more than gluing up a few pieces of wood. This looks like it took some serious planning, or at the very least some serious artistic thought. Good sized too. How can your Mom not love it. Thanks for sharing.

Space invaders! I really like the tranverse strips that you built into the design. I’m guessing that you used the board design freeware, but if you didn’t you have some great design skills.

Pretty neat. Can’t imagine the glue-ups that went into that. The style of this board reminded me of the Arecibo message that SETI beamed into space decades ago.

Like it, beautiful wood, unique pattern and great finish. Great job!

Thanks everyone, the design was random with the goal to have no straight line joints. I didn’t really know what I had til it was done. I probably won’t make another any time soon because it was work. I like the idea of the aricebo board, that would be cool. That made me think that a math equation or graph would be neat.

Everyone sees something different. I see an Aztec design. Nice lines.
