I had some scraps and a piece of plywood lying around my shop and I decided to make a chest out of it . I had a great deal of fun with the whole project. I had never made a raised top before and I didn’t know it was such a challenge to figure out all those angles ,plus dealing with fact of not have enough wood to make the project. I had to be rather inventive with the scraps I had, hence the many wood species I used. The biggest issue I had was cutting my center and side pieces to size at 45 degree angle sideways. This was new for me made the project interesting. I will make more of these chests but in bigger dimensions, just because they are lots of fun

Great use of some scraps! It looks like it’s a good size to hold some nice treasures in.

It was a challenge, but I enjoyed building it
