My wife wanted a better way to carry wooden coat hangers down to our basement laundry room. A little measuring later, and I came up with this. My sister saw what I was making and wanted one too, so I made the smaller one for her. We keep it in the closet and whenever a coat hanger isn’t being used, it is placed on the carrier for an easy tote to the basement. Made it out of some oak I had lying around and oak dowels and finished with Tung oil and wax. The inlaid purple heart dutchmen are completely superfluous, but I like to practice different techniques on these small “honey do” projects just to hone my skills for the bigger projects.

You have combined both form and function in this carrier. It serves a practical purpose and looks good as well.
Nicely done.

Awesome idea.
I like the “non black socks” container as well.
