These two are on my living room wall now. I’ll sell them at the art fair in the summer if they don’t sell earlier. They’ll go for a pretty penny.
Solid walnut, bookcase match, Hen & Feathers bronze clock and thermo, all brass hardware.

Finish is paste wax. Sanded to 180, shellac applied to seal pours. Sanded with 320 and waxed twice. Buffed to shine.

Several different shots are shown here with varying lighting. The indoor environment has many light levels.

I plan to let these rest a week or so and rewax them about 10 coats. This will be a weekly routine till summer. By then they should be close to a french polish.

Thanks for looking.

What did you use to fill in the spaces, the red stuff?

Most of the fill is black sand, I put CA on the wood and then coat it with sand and bring the sand to just under the wood level then put on red coral rocks.
