table of leftovers

a client supplied me with a butcher block top they picked up from ikea, it was 8ft long and 25.5” wide. they asked me to cut it down to fit a section of recently added kitchen, which i did and installed it. the leftover piece waas large and they wondered what to do with it. i suggested a small table and this is what resulted. the legs are made of leftover birch and to help keep it level on their old tile floor, i installed some threaded table levelers like you find in restaurant tables. all in all it looks great and the cheap fold up table in the corner of their kitchen is replaced with this table.
