On May 8th a lady in lake Charles bought 2 benches. I shipped them both via Greyhound Package Express. One got there in 2 days. The other hasnt been heard from. I have now filed a claim with them, but have had no response, yet. Also manually called each stop the piece was to have & no luck there. Our bus station is a small one & has no computer. The bill was handwriten & has no tracking number. They shipped it for 90.00…. UPS wanted 220.00. This is the replacement piece. It still needs a few more coats of spar urethane, so maybe they will find the original. Maybe the baggage handler just borrowed it for his big memorial day party & will bring it back. The one in the storefront is the original. The wet one is the replacement.

I’m sure it’s being “borrowed”. It must have been a small party not to need both. :) I love the shape and the grain of the bench. It’s nice to see someone thinking other than square. I think the gentle curves lend to its personality. Nice work, and I hope they return it when they’re done…

Cool bench! From the size and weight of it, it could not have gone too far. Good luck.

Ted, those are really nice. Obviously someone at one of the bus terminals thought so too. Hope you can recover it.
