Are the black sections rounded? Looks to me like some poker chips would fit in there nicely.

I would say a jewlery box. Looks to me the picture is taken on a counter top so it is not very big of course more infowould be good.

I just uploaded some new photos of the “the chest”. It is approx 3 foot tall and about 18 inches wide. The interior part has rolls that are like ring holders but bigger.
