I saw this (or something very similar) from another LJ user here (I think it was GSWoodworker) and I had a little scrap oak sitting around. The first attempt was a little too long (like 15 inches). The wife (boss) thought something shorter my be better. Well she was right, I cut it down to 12 inches and I think it work a lot nicer. Thanks for the inspiration GSWoodworker!!!

I have a friend that owns Running Hare vineyard… In the future, I want to try this again with a few curved oak barrel strips… Might make a nice touch.

Looks trick but maybe not for guys with kids, unless you use cheap wine glasses !

what size are the holes?

For the larger one I used a 2 inch in the middle and a 1.5 inch for the glasses. But I thought it sat too low on the bottle so I used 1.5 inch on all 3 holes for the smaller ones.
