here is yet another box I made for Christmas 2012 but this one has special meaning…. Mom lost her brother the Friday after thanksgiving. He was a special uncle who would always take my brother & i hunting and was always teaching us things only a true “Construction guy” could teach young boys LOL .. Anyway, I picked up two crosses at the funeral home (just b\c at the time) then had an idea on what to do with them.I decided I’d make mom a box . I had some real pretty Hickory that I turned into a box I also added a piece of Cedar to the inside of the lid for that cedar smell that Uncle Terry loved . I also burned in the front of it ” In memory of Uncle Terry” with the two crosses from his funeral glued onto each side of the words Needless to say mom LOVED it. It’ll always hold a special place in out family for years to come.

Sorry about your uncle. Very thoughtful of you, your uncle would be proud. Great job on the burn work too.

Very nice, meaningful project, with great burn work.
