This is a free-standing cupboard that I recently built using some nice white oak and black walnut. It was built using free material that I got from a flooring company that was moving and offered some remnants on the internet (for free). It did take a little more work glueing up and surfacing it to get the necessary widths to complete the cupboard, but it was well worth it. More details about the cupboard design and how you can find free woodworking materials in your area are available at my website.

Richard,
This is a nice use of “scrap” materials. While I am sure it took more work to get material wide enough to work with the end result was well worth the effort and the price was right as well.
Very nice.

Richard, the cabinet looks great. The woods really work well together.
You gotta love Craigslist. Check out Freecycle.org as well in your area.
