Here’s a few wine stoppers that I did in between projects over the past few weeks. They are made from a variety of woods including Maple, Cherry, Banuk (Virola) and Walnut Birch and turned in a variety of shapes. There was no design plan, just having a bit of fun.
Walnut Birch a roasted hardwood. It is made by taking yellow birch and heating it to very high temperatures in a vacuum condition. Then it is re-humidified. This creates a uniformly dark brown colored product, similar to that of Black Walnut, but the price is less expensive.
Thanks for looking :)

These are great little “in between” projects and just plain fun to make. Nice assortment here. These can be turned out very quickly and make it easy to share your hobby with friends and familly.

Very cool. Do you find any particular type of design that is the most functional?

Thanks all!
Bob A – so true, so true…
trifern – not sure which is the most functional but the ‘flame’ type seems to be the most popular.
lew – methinks that with summer bbq’s these will be long gone by Christmas. This is why I get invited ;)
Sorry for the delay in replying. Been on vacation past couple of weeks. :)
