Finally done!
After moving Parts around in my Garage for almost 2 Years; I could spend some time to finish this project. So in the Summertime I can now let the door stay open and keep the da** moskitos outside.

The Frame is made of Fir, coated with an Oil based Paint and a plastic screen nailed from the back. It turned out pretty lightweight and rigid, so I can’t complain.
We will see how time and weather will treat the construction.

Looks nice. I’d like to have a screen door out front for my place….maybe I’ll try that.

I built a screen door for the side entrance to my house about twenty yrs. ago( sorry no pics.) out of poplar. I used mortise and tenon joints with pegs and painted it with a oil based paint, I replaced it with a new aluminum one two yrs. ago and it was still solid as the day i built it, so a friend took it and is using it on garage side door.

Nice looking screen door. I too have devoted long periods of time to projects like you did. Some others call it procrastination, I call it a continuous and carefull thought process for appropriate design considerations.

Lovely screen door, with that build and wood, it will last for many years.
