Nice, I am considering something similiar in our eatin area. If you don’t mind sharing, what are the dimensions you used, mostly interested in height, and countertop overhangs. Also, what is the top and what finish did you use.

Love this kitchen island, well built and matches the whole area.

Thanks you all for the positive words on the kitchen island…with over all dimensions of 36×36 x 86The top is 36×86 with a one foot over hang on the end and one side… There are four (8 inch) corbels under the 86 side and two under the short side of the counter top was made by laminating a 3/4 and 5/8 plywood together with contact cement and screws. The formica was special ordered from a big box store.
