My daughter is turning 1 and she has already received an extensive collection of books…but her room is on the small side so i didn’t want to make it huge or stick out so far. The bookcase is 3ft and 46 in tall to fit under the light switch. Its pine with moulding at the top so it wouldn’t be too drastic. I also made it to have adjustable shelves i cut the holes out with peg board being the templet. It was a simple project that just need to be painted and have shelves put in.

Looks nice so far. I would add some bracing to prevent it from bowing or diagonal collapse. Do the shelves have a lip to keep the books from sliding out the back?
