Going to be making a few of these Jr. Gent II’s and thought I’d better ‘practice’ with a few before I get to my orders.
(EDIT May 22, 2008)
Okay, this is a Statesman Jr. II. And the wood is Spalted Curly Mango.
Sorry about that.

Kerux,
Again this is another nice turning. The pen is beautiful.
Thanks for the post.

Very nice pen Kerux, I really like the Jr. Gent II style. Thank you for sharing.

Wow! Pen looks great, and the pictures are beautiful. How do you get that “vignetting” effect?
How does the pen feel in the hand? I’ve really been enjoying my Euro-style pens and I find the Cigar pens a bit large for my taste. It looks like the Jr. Gent II is in between those sizes.

Nils,
The Vignetting is done with Corel Photo-Paint. The photo is taken in a light box with a white background.
The pen is probably mid-size. I don’t like the cap attached to the back end, but my wife prefer’s it that way.
This is a Statesman Jr. Both Jr. States and Jr. Gent use the same bushings and are the same size.

Beautiful wood. I really like these kits. I have made a few so far. Did you make a custom barrel trimmer for these? I still haven’t done that and I ended up with the ends not quite centered.
