Just a little something I did today for a friend. He gave me this meat cleaver yesterday. Its a “Foster Bros. 2190” and it was in bad shape. It was manufactured between 1953 and 1956. The blade measures 8 1/2’’ x 4’’ and the whole thing is 15 1/2’’ long. It’s quite the kitchen tool!

I used a piece of scrap cherry and the dowells are oak. For a little job, this thing turned out great. Thanks for the looks and/or comments.

I had a old meat cleaver years ago. Somehow thru 38 years of marriage and 25 moves it got lost.

Nice job on the restoration
