It’s been a while since I’ve posted but I made a doll’s bed for a friend’s daughter.

I was going to buy one but then I saw those prices on the American Girl doll site! It still needs a mattress but sewing is a whole different realm =p

The plans were found on Ana White’s blog but changed a few little things.

I have a daughter who requests american doll furniture and stuff. I must admit, this weekend I put the drills and saws down and learned how to sew by hand and sewing machine. My wife doesn’t sew, and since I’m the power tool master in the house, I figured it out. You can easily make the mattess, cost you 10 bucks tops. I made 2 reverse blankets, 1 mattress, and 4 pillows for the dolls this weekend. Yes, it was different saying I’m going to use the sewing machine. Now back to my workshop.
I like Ana Whites site. Good stuff.

Very nice and I’m sure much better quality than what you could have bought.

Great job with the bed.

I think Ana White has a lot of nice projects on her site. You should try the bunk bed next.
