This is the third and last piece of the Dining Room Set. It is a trestle table with removeable legs an dheld together with tusk tenon joinery. The top is heavily figured 6/4 Birdseye Maple with a clear Maple edging that is tapered to give alighter appearance. There are also two 12” wide leaves that are install on a sliding wooden mechanism. I wanted the top to be made of some really special figured Maple. We took a ride to Lancaster PA to a place called Sandy Ponds Hardwoods to hand pick each piece that would be used for the top.

A side view showing the edging detail and lower divider

One of the two leaves. The Maple edging mates up with the table top edging when the leaf is installed.
