My first attempt at a wooden mallet. The head is red oak and purpleheart, the handle is made from a leftover scrap of treated pine, finished it with BLO. I will be starting on my second tomorrow. I have some maple I’ve been itching to use. Will post it when I’m done.

The mallet is very nice. Not sure what BLO is, but the finish looks great.
