Here are a few new rings I’ve made recently. I am trying to make my own designs and so far I have a few that I really like. The first is my World Ring, featuring 17 different kinds of wood. The second is a shaped ring made out of a small Maple burl a friend gave me from a branch on one of his trees. This was a smaller burl about the size of a softball, which produced some tight grain and very small tight curls. The third is a bent Bloodwood Ring. This veneer proved harder to bend than I had hoped. But after a few tries it finally worked out. Fourth is another World Ring with 12 different woods and the outside layers are matched. The fifth is a Curly Etimoe lined with Maple. This is the first curly figure I have gotten to bend successfully, and other than the wood itself appearing metallic, the figure didnt really come through. Last is The Oak Monster, one of the few rings Ive made specifically for myself. Featuring 4 different species of oak, The center is Australian Oak then a layer of White Oak followed by English Brown Oak and the outermost layer is Black Oak. Thanks for Looking!

Nice job. Shows patience

I like the world ring best because it’s so colorful. They all look great.
