Pipe Clamp Rack

I started a pool cue style rack to store pipe clamps in my new wood shop and when explaining it to our foreman at work he pointed out the obvious flaw in my plans in that my ceiling is only 8’ high and how was i going to lift my clamps up and out of my design. He said gravity holds the clamp in – no need for additional slots and ways of holding the clamps to the wall so i made this up instead. This is a case where i wanted it to be more complicated than it was!
Cheers

I made a similar rack just a couple weeks ago. I bandsawed a few slots out of a 2×6 and Kreg jigged it to the wall. It was simple and worked like a charm, and I’m sure yours will, too. Great job!

Simple and functional. Best of both worlds.

Good job. I made my pipe clamp rack from a piece of 2X6 hard maple, then drilled elongated holes (2 passes on the drill press) in a line down the center. Then cut it in half. Bolt it to the wall, and it holds a lot of pipe clamps.
